The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) and the Ontario Elementary Teachers` Federation (ETFO), which represent education support staff, have reached a preliminary agreement on the terms of the collective agreement from 2019 to 2022. Neglects began in June and details of the agreement are confidential until both parties ratify them, probably in September. Local PRESIDENT of ETFO Renfrew County Education Support Personnel, Colleen Mackin, believes it is a fair agreement that respects the needs of members. Plan Smart Lifestyle and Specialty Counselling CRDD staff can access the following smart services: child care and education, new parent support services, and aged care and family care services. Each of these services is designed to enable you to take a proactive approach, meet daily challenges and life transitions, and get the information and support you need to respond to your unique situation. Most of these services are provided over the phone or online and often include an evaluation, a personalized set of information and useful tools with your best interest. We are pleased that Homewood Health™ has been selected as our new EFAP provider. The program not only provides consulting services for counselling services when you need professional help in a difficult situation, but also offers Plan Smart Lifestyle and Specialty Counselling, a set of professional life services in case you want specialized advice, information and coaching to which you can access and use in your own way. Starting March 1, 2017, ETFO employees who currently have access to the Staff and Family Assistance Program and their families will be able to call the brochure number at any time of the day and night, 365 days a year. If you are in crisis, immediate assistance is available. Rest assured that the program is completely confidential.
The education assistance of local staff represents more than 250 people, including teaching assistants, assistants, library assistants, inclusion assistants and supervisory assistants. In addition, e-learning courses available on Homewood Health`s website offer self-controlled, confidential and interactive online courses containing printable information, quizzes and exercises.
